Hauling Rocks

This was kind of a strange activity, but the girls loved it. They loaded black rocks onto a conveyor belt, then used a wheel to turn the belt until they crossed over a pretend river and dropped on the other side:

The girls had fun playing with the pretend radios:

This is the other side of the conveyor belt:

Playground

Next to the Miami Children's Museum, they had a great playground. The weather was fabulous, so we let the girls play for awhile.

It is so exciting for the kids to try out a new playground!

Kids & Money

The girls enjoyed the bank section - they got to make pretend deposits:

Play in a pretend bank vault:

And color some money of their own:

Dental Fun

We had fun with the enormous toothbrush in the dental hygiene section:

Teddy Bear Exhibit

I thought the teddy bear exhibit was not interactive enough for the girls to enjoy. Everything was behind glass and just for looking. But Catherine was thrilled when she found a Snow White teddy bear with seven little dwarfs:

Hotel Pool

Being able to swim at the hotel pool in Fort Lauderdale gave us a taste of the fun we have every summer. I can't wait until the summer!

Mid-Day Parade

The girls loved the dancers as much as the floats & characters:

This float was filled with princesses (and a Beast):

Pinocchio with Jiminy Cricket:

A bunch of characters were on foot and could interact with everyone watching the parade:

Stitch kissed the girls:

I have no idea who this character is:

Belle

One of our favorite princesses is Belle, because she loves to read. Also, the first time that we met the princesses Belle kissed Catherine on the cheek, leaving a huge lipstick kiss. Catherine felt so special.

She personalized her autograph by addressing it to the girls personally.

Woody and Jessie

The girls loved meeting the stars of Toy Story:

I cannot reiterate how fun the autograph books are. Now that we are home, Catherine looks at hers every day and wants to take it to school for Show and Tell.

Jasmine and Aladdin

At Disney World we met Jasmine and Aladdin. While we were talking with Aladdin, he asked if we had come to the park a few weeks earlier. We said yes, we had been here at Christmastime. He said he recognized our girls. I was shocked because he must see hundreds of kids every day. Don't they all blend together?
