We were out of town this year for Easter, so the Easter Bunny visited us in the hotel in Williamsburg, bringing some toys:
Catherine of course doesn't appreciate candy and Grandpa already gave them lots of candy, so the Easter Bunny only brought toys. They got princess themed pool toys, and princess baby dolls:
And they each got a princess cell phone:
Here are their new princess babies:

Spring Fling at Camp Sunshine
Every year Camp Sunshine hosts a fabulous festival called Spring Fling, which is an Easter themed party. Like everything else they do, it is a great event. They have carnival like games (throwing eggs into a basket):
Fishing:
Sand art:
Spinner painting:
Face painting (as well as arm painting for my girls):
More sand art, but this table had edible colored sugar instead of sand:
Sabrina had her face painted like Hello Kitty, with a big pink bow on her forehead:
Catherine painting a sun catcher:
Decorating cookies (with tons of sprinkles!):
The girls had a blast playing with the mascot, Peaches the Bunny:
Camp Sunshine's resident magician, Mr. Tome, drew pictures for the girls:
They loved watching him draw whatever they told him to:
Catherine asked Mr. Tome to draw a bunny picture for Peaches, which she then delivered to the bunny:
Another highlight of the afternoon is the magic show and participating in it.
Catherine loudly told Mr. Tome "You are a silly man!", which caused everyone in the audience to laugh:
Sabrina wanted to be an assistant too:
The last portion of the day is the egg hunt:
Our kids make us laugh because they walk past tons of eggs, picking out just the right ones:

Easter Pictures
Twice a year we buy matching outfits for the girls: Christmas morning pajamas and Easter dresses. While we were celebrating Easter at my father's house, we took a bunch of pictures of the girls. I love the pearl themed headbands, although Sabrina kept taking hers off:
We told Sabrina to dance to try to get some interesting shots:
It is so hard to get toddlers to face the camera:
Sisters ... what are they talking about?
This is why we call Sabrina "smiley:"
Getting them to hug each other led to several tackles:
Can you tell Sabrina jumped into my lap?
There was lots of laughter:
Me and my girls ..
Robby and the girls ...
We had a lot of fun staging these shots, with the girls running to us:
Then jumping into our laps:
Catherine collapsing into Daddy's lap:
I love the pictures of the girls walking together:

Here is the best family shot we got:
Sabrina loves to "fly:"
Catherine on Robby's shoulder:
Me and Robby after seven years of marriage:
This was a hard shot to get because the girls were no longer cooperative:

I like this picture because Catherine was trying to edge in on our couple shot:

Easter Egg Hunt at Grandpa's House
We went to visit my father in Jasper, GA on Easter. He had an Easter egg hunt, which the girls loved:
Catherine made those floppy ears out of construction paper at school.
Sabrina hits the jackpot and finds several eggs in one spot:

Foot Washing
Last week for Easter we modeled Jesus' behaviour by washing each other's feet. The kids absolutely LOVED this activity, which is apparently a lot like water play for toddlers. We did it in our bedroom, which was kind of a mistake. We should have held it outside, because there is a certain amount of spilling involved.
I think the kids took the "washing" part pretty literally because Catherine got a little sponge to help wash Sabrina's legs.
They both washed my feet:
We used warm water with a little bit of oil.
We tried to explain that this is not play time, that it is an act of service. I am not sure if they understood that, so I told them that we should do nice things for each other like Jesus did nice things for us.I think the kids took the "washing" part pretty literally because Catherine got a little sponge to help wash Sabrina's legs.
