Homemade Bird Feeders

Last weekend we decided to make bird feeders with things we had on hand: ice cream cones, peanut butter and cheerios. The girls loved it:

Of course after a few minutes, both girls (even Catherine!) decided that they wanted to eat the peanut butter instead of build with it:

We put the bird feeders on the railing of our deck, hoping that a bird or two would find them in a few days. Then, we could watch the beautiful birds eat out creations. Unfortunately, we have a lot of squirrels in our yard. The next day when we came home, the bird feeders were completely gone. I have no definitive proof, but I assume the squirrels were greedy.
