I am always awed by how seemingly minor aspects of our personalities can be used by God. Sabrina, as the second born, is often in the shadow of her older sister. Catherine is such an active, lively 3 year old that easy-going Sabrina can get lost in the background.
Yet, God wired Sabrina so that she will wake up with a huge smile on her face at 7 am every morning (sometimes 7:30). Her older sister will sleep until we wake her up, and then tell us that she is not done sleeping yet. But Sabrina is ready to go, eager for her sippy cup of milk, and wants attention.
Robby gets Sabrina out of her crib every morning and puts her in bed with me with her sippy cup. This is my favorite time of the day with Sabrina, because it is just the two of us. Robby is also eager to start his day and is getting ready while Sabrina and I have our "girl time." Catherine is sound asleep in her bed. So Sabrina laughs and plays with my hair. She squeezes my nose. She explores my ears. I tickle her. We "talk" in babbling. She stands over me and collapses onto my stomach. She rolls over and then rolls back to me. It is a precious way to start my day.
I am so grateful that God made Sabrina a morning person, so she could have some uninterrupted special time with me. I know it benefits me and I hope it benefits her.

What an awesome way to start your morning! We have "family" time in bed with breakfast and cartoons and the four of us...it is special but it is not quite as intimate as one on one.
