Scenes from Hillcrest Farms

Next to the petting zoo was a pen with two small pigs. Catherine kept looking at them and saying "Oink! Oink!"

Catherine enjoyed climbing into the wooden tractor. In the background you can see the top of my head and the top of another woman's head. She is a former camper who had a brain tumor on her optic nerves when she was 14. She had chemo for two years and is now fine. She is now 22 and volunteers at Camp Sunshine events. It is always great for me to talk to people whose cancer is in their past - it gives us hope and reassurance.

We don't have a cat, so I don't think Catherine has ever held a cat before. They had a bunch of kittens which the children could pet and hold. Catherine loved it and fussed when the cat jumped out of her lap.
