On the Bar

Catherine also enjoys the bar. She has so little arm strength (her physical therapist thinks her upper body did not develop properly because she never crawled), that it is a real struggle for her to do anything on the bar. We have gotten her to be able to swing by her arms for a full ten seconds.


You can see the focus in her face - this takes all of her effort. I am proud of her, because every week she does improve. Last week she could only hold on for five seconds. This week she did ten. She also loves gymnastics and is constantly practicing everything she is learning at home.

Catherine was thrilled when her teacher held her up high on the bar. That smile is priceless! She has so much more energy now - this Wednesday will be one year since she has been off chemo treatment.
