Our first Dragon Con Parade

We took the girls to their first parade ... and boy was it a good one to choose. We went to the annual Dragon Con parade, where all sorts of creatures from science fiction TV and movies, as well as comic book characters and basically anyone else you can imagine, marches down Peachtree Street. It was a blast and I think will become and annual event for us.

Some of the costumes were quite elaborate. When this alien approached us and reached its arm out to us, Catherine lost it. She screamed her head off and buried herself in my lap. After about a minute (thankfully her fits are over as quickly as they start), we were able to convince her that is was just "pretend." Now when we ask her about the parade she tells us "that alien scared me." I hope we haven't warped her for life.
