Hello Purple Cast

I am so glad the medical supply companies invented colored casts - it makes it so exciting for Catherine to get a new cast every week!

If you have never seen serial casting done before, the doctor holds the child's leg in the position he wants it in to stretch out whatever tendons he needs to. At the same time, the child wiggles and resists her leg being held still. At the same time, the assistant wraps the leg in cotton, followed by a colored gauze strip, which is wet when applied and dries to a hard surface within a few minutes.
