Atlanta Thrasher Ilya Kovalchuk hosts a fun night at Jillian's for a bunch of children with special needs. Catherine and a bunch of her friends with brain tumors went. Ilya Kovalchuk himself could not be there because of a "minor emergency," so he sent another Atlanta Thrasher player instead. For the life of me I cannot remember the substitute player's name. But, he was very nice and took the time to meet & greet all the children. The Thrashers mascot was there too, but my children refused to have their picture taken with a six foot bird.
