Catherine's medical journey is so imposing, that Sabrina sometimes gets forgotten. However, we have suspected that she has nuerofibromatosis (NF) also. Robby has it and Catherine has it. We have seen some "cafe au lait spots" (brown discoloration on her skin) on Sabrina, so we have suspected it. Now Sabrina will have annual brain MRI's to check for tumors, as well as eye exams, etc. The doctors have been so flexible with us - we were able to take a break from Catherine's platelet transfusion to attend Sabrina's genetics appointment (which is in the same building).
While we were waiting to see the geneticist, Catherine took the opportunity to examine Sabrina with the eye scope. Although they are almost the same weight, Catherine is quite a bit taller than Sabrina, who is chunkier in the legs.
