Prepping for Chemo

It is kind of sad that Catherine is so familiar with the chemo procedures, but I am also proud of Catherine that she has learned the system. She knows that the lady at the front desk gives her a bracelet with her name on it. She knows that they use scissors to cut the "tail" of the hospital bracelet. She shows the nurses her bracelet before they give her medicine, because she has learned that they always check the name on her bracelet against the name on the medicine.

I was shocked that Catherine was savvy enough to pull out all of the correct supplies in order to have her finger pricked (to get her blood levels checked). She simply opened the correct drawer and put the supplies (band-aid, collection vial, cotton squares, alcohol squares) on the counter, like the nurses do.
