Because Catherine's brain tumor is on her optic pathways and her optic chiasm, she has to have a VEP test done at Emory every 3 months. VEP stands for visual evoke potential (I think). I have never taken her for this test, just Robby. The nurse took these pictures because Robby has to hold her head still and make sure the electrodes on her head stay in place. The first VEP 3 months ago revealed that there is a slight reduction in the speed at which her brain receives visual images, but she can compensate for that because she is so young. We do not have the results from last week's VEP yet. However, we have no concerns that she can't see well - she acts like she sees very well.
