Mosaics

We recently did a mosaic sticker project.  I showed the girls some pictures of the Vatican and mosaic tile art work.  We looked at the mosaic tiles in our bathroom.  Then we did this project, which I bought at the dollar store (love that place!)

Sabrina did not follow the patterns, but instead put stickers wherever she wanted. She made big piles of green stickers in some places and tons of pink stickers in the frog's mouth.  She claimed that the frog was eating strawberries.

Catherine, however, followed the patterns exactly.  She worked very systematically on the rainbow, doing one color at a time.  I was so impressed with her orderly, linear work patterns.  She does not always have such good work habits, so I have to praise her lavishly when that does happen.
