Heart Words

In Catherine's elementary school, she had to learn "sight words."  Her online school calls them "heart words."  We made Heart Word Boxes out of small wooden boxes I found at a craft store (paint and stickers can be so much fun!).  Catherine gets 22 words per week with her Language Arts curriculum, while Sabrina has five words to learn (the, and, with, it, said).  So far, Sabrina knows no words by heart.  But, she loves playing with her box and the flash cards.
