Bye Bye Castle

About a month ago, we got a new dishwasher.  I saved the box and the girls and I made it into a castle (with flowery vines, a door, three windows, and the interior decorated with family pictures).  They put some pillows and blankets in there and LOVED it.

Then last week the girls absolutely destroyed their toy room. There were toys spread all over the floor, several inches deep.  We cleaned the whole room up (with them of course).  Then, as punishment for not taking care of their belongings, we made them put their beloved castle out with the trash for pick up. 

We told them to drag it to the curb. They tried, but couldn't.  So, Catherine got the idea that they can roll the castle to the curb, which they did:

They didn't seem to care that they were losing their castle.  Catherine said to me "It's OK, we can use the princess tent as a castle now."
