American Symbols

Over the last two weeks we have focused on some American symbols.  As usual, we read a book about one, then made a craft about it.  Here is our Mayflower craft:

I forgot to take a picture of Sabrina's.  Hers was cute because she added people on her ship.  For a lot of the buildings we studied, I could not find any other craft other than a coloring page:

The girls painted miniature Liberty Bells and cut cracks in them:

The most enjoyable craft we did was for the Statue of Liberty.  We made torches and crowns.  The girls loved walking around acting like the Statue.
