My kids love pretend play. I assume that is normal at this age. They change into princess costumes every day as soon as they get home. We have been successful at leveraging this for behavior modification (we threaten to take away a costume if they disobey).
They hold tea parties all the time, where they set up tables and pour each other pretend tea and eat pretend cookies. They also hold pretend dances: curtsying and spinning around the house.
Lately they have started a new game which they have either gotten from a friend or made up on their own. One of them will yell “It’s midnight!” Both of them will run to their bedroom and hop in their beds.
I am considering leveraging this game in some way for behavior modification.
