Trick or Treating

This year the girls went to two fall festivals (pictures will come later) and actually trick or treated on Halloween night. So, they got to wear three costumes each. Fortunately, we have tons of dress up clothes, so I didn't have to buy a thing for costumes this year.

Catherine wore Belle, then Tinkerbell and finally Cinderella. Sabrina wore Sleeping Beauty, then Belle, and finally Tinkerbell.

Robby and my dad went to Talladega for the day. They arrived home while I was out trick or treating with the girls. I was so pleased because it was a lot of work driving the children from house to house and getting them in and out of the car. Once Robby and my dad got there, we could have one driver and one person for each kid.

The girls loved trick or treating. As you can see in the above picture, the girls were actually very interested in what treats they were getting. I had to remind Sabrina to put the candy in her pumpkin every time. Additionally, Sabrina wanted to stop, sit down and eat some of her candy as we were walking up and down the driveways. In the car it was way too much temptation to ask Sabrina to hold the pumpkin full of candy in her lap and not eat it.

Catherine has actually gotten into eating lollipops lately, so she was interested in keeping the lollipops out and carrying them separately from her pumpkin.

It was an exhausting night for all of us because the girls are so tiny and there is so much walking involved. But, the girls had a good time and it is a rite of childhood.
