Creek Lessons

Last weekend the weather was absolutely beautiful, so we decided we HAD to do something outside. Plus, we have been so preoccupied with renovating our kitchen lately that we have not done anything "educational" with our kids lately.

So, we decided to take the girls to the creek at the local park and play "scientist." We gave them some plastic containers and told them to take some samples for examination. They collected some sand, a stone, some creek water, and a leaf (Catherine was so proud of herself when she "caught" that!).

Catherine was very hesitant to get in the water and tried to do collect her samples from the "shore." Sabrina, who has a seriously reckless streak, had no hesitation and immediately walked right into the water.
